Siren Movie Review: [4/5] Jayam Ravi’s latest movie, “Siren,” is a mixed bag of emotions and a commercial entertainer that explores the story of a man seeking revenge and reconciliation with his daughter after being released from prison on parole

The film, directed by Antony Bhagyaraj, has brought together talented lead performances, particularly Jayam Ravi’s convincing portrayal of two distinct characters. However, the film is a low down for its excessive spoon-feeding and melodramatic elements, which detract from the overall experience

Despite these shortcomings, “Siren” is a time-pass entertainer that keeps viewers engaged with its tried-and-true screenplay.

Siren Movie Review: What keeps you hooked

Jayam Ravi shines in an absolutely authentic role of a serious man on a mission. Keerthy Suresh is impressive as a tough cop in a well scripted role, backed by punch dialogues. The story is a revenge drama but the narrative is engrossing and the climax leaves an impact. Antony Bhagyaraj presents the audience with a script that will resonate with family audiences.

Further, Siren is an emotional mass entertainer that introduces to the character Thilaga Varman, a wrongly convicted Ambulance Driver who patiently waits for years for his parole to have a go at his enemies, and get his revenge. Actor Jayamravi has packed his trademark acting style and immmersed himself, in the role, he got massy punchlines and emotionally engaging scenes along with comic one-liners with the talented Yogi Babu that brings the wholesome entertainment quotient. The chemistry between Ravi and Babu is commendable and brings lot of fun and add excitement !

Keerthy on her part plays an upright police officer Nandhini, who is also wrongly accused in a lockup death case. She is the investigation officer for the series of murder happening in her jurisdiction and all clues lead to Thilaga Varman.

Characterizations of Ravi and Keerthy have similarities and that’s what make their cat and mouse game clicking. Director Antony Baghyaraj has treated the film as a mass entertainer with formulaic elements along with few fresh sequences.

The first half of the Siren turns interesting with Ravi and Yogi Babu’s hilarious portions, the rift between Ravi and Keerthy. The second half of the film talks more about Ravi’s past life, the culprits behind his Life Sentence etc.,

Siren Movie Review Final Words: The film will be applauded by Jayam Ravi fans, and those who love mass entertainers filled weith action, comedy, and emotive moments.
