Superstar Shah Rukh Khan stirred excitement among fans as he revealed the commencement of advance bookings for his much-anticipated film, “Dunki,” slated for release on December 21. The movie, directed by Rajkumar Hirani, has received a U/A certificate from the censor board and boasts a star-studded cast featuring Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, Boman Irani, Vikram Kochhar, and Anil Grover alongside Khan in pivotal roles.
In a social media announcement, the 58-year-old Shah Rukh Khan urged audiences to gear up for the cinematic experience, stating, “Aaj ki tazaa khabar sunn ke… Hardy toh nikal pada hai cinemas ki ore. “Dunki” promises to be a blend of comedy and drama, revolving around the theme of friendships, borders, longing for home, and love. The storyline is centered on an illegal immigration method termed ‘donkey flight.’
This marks Shah Rukh Khan‘s third and final release of 2023, following the success of action-packed blockbusters “Pathaan” and “Jawan.”
Directed by Hirani, the film is penned by a collaborative effort between Hirani himself, Abhijaat Joshi, and Kanika Dhillon. Reports suggest the movie’s runtime will span 2 hours and 41 minutes (161 minutes).

Interestingly, “Dunki” is expected to hit screens with minimal alterations, as per Bollywood Hungama. The limited suggested cuts include the addition of anti-smoking disclaimers at the movie’s commencement and reportedly altering a specific term to ‘immigrants’ within the script.
