On Thursday, actress Sushmita Sen posted the first image from her forthcoming movie Taali to her Instagram account. The biopic Taali on the transgender person Shree Gauri Sawant. Through this film, Sushmita will be shown as living her life.
Sen resembles Gauri Sawant in the Taali movie’s opening poster. She had a large circular maroon bindi on her forehead and was dressed in a red and green sari. As the title of her film, Taali, the clapping action was indicated by her placing both hands on one another. Season 9 of Kaun Banega Crorepati featured Gauri Sawant, who was encouraged by Usha Uthup to gather funds to construct homes for sex workers.

Gauri Sawant is a transgender activist from Mumbai. She has been featured in Vicks ad as a transgender mother who raised an orphaned girl to break the stereotypical representation of third gender. She raised money to build houses for sex workers near Kharghar with the amount she won with the help of Kaun Banega Crorepati in season 9.
