The Northwest England singer announced the diagnosis in October 2020 and, after undergoing treatment, joined the rest of the band on a reunion tour in March.
His actress wife Kelsey Hardwick wrote on Instagram: “It is with the heaviest of hearts that we confirm Tom passed away peacefully earlier today with all of his family by his side.”

Formed in 2009, The Wanted had number-one singles in Britain with “All Time Low” and “Glad You Came”, the latter also reaching number three in the US Billboard chart.
The group released its debut single, “All Time Low,” in 2010, which hit No. 1 in the U.K. A self-titled album followed later that year, with a follow-up, Battleground, in 2011. A single off that album, “Glad You Came,” also reached No. 1 in the U.K. and became a crossover hit in the U.S., where it peaked at No. 3. The group released a third album, Word of Mouth, in 2013, and went on hiatus after a 2014 tour.
