Vijay Deverakonda addressed its box office prospects and said that he will not ‘react angrily’ if the Telugu-Hindi bilingual flops at the box office. Liger, marks the actor’s Bollywood debut. The film has generated fan cheer it presents him in a loud new avatar. The movie is a sports drama, written and directed by Puri Jagannadh.

The wrath of cancel culture in Bollywood has been affecting movies. Most recent movies had a bad outing at the box office and in theatres with fewer people going to watch the films. Even the big star films failed to enthuse the audience. The fact remains that content is the king and also the OTT has been a major factor in reduced footfalls in theatres.

World Famous Love Vijay Deverakonda Liger success hangs in tenterhooks

Vijay Deverakonda, had a poor outing in the box office with his World Famous Lover. The film has already become a rage in the Telugu states, where the advance booking is quite impressive. During a recent interview, Vijay answered a question about Liger’s box office fate. He said that he will not ‘react angrily to such small things’. The actor went on to thank fans for supporting him while he promoted Liger.

“Had you asked me this question a few years back, I would have replied with anger. I would have been so angry. However, with the kind of love that I have received in the last few days, it would be a disrespect to that if I react angrily to such small things around. I want to remember the love. The audience is important, we work for them, and we travel cities just to meet them and we want to win their love. (sic)” he said during an interaction with the media.

Liger is a sports drama that features Vijay Deverakonda in the role of an underdog with a speech issue. Ananya Panday, who was last seen in the romantic drama Gehraiyaan, will make her Tollywood debut with the film.

Liger also features Ramya Krishnan, Ronit Roy, and Makrand Deshpande, among others, in key roles. Legendary boxer Mike Tyson will be seen in a cameo appearance in the movie. Liger is slated to open in theatres August 25.
