Will India Get Amazon Fire TV’s new Free tab? ; The free tab went live in US recently featuring apps, TV, news and movies to counter its rival Roku – which provides the simplest way to stream entertainment to your TV.
Customers of Amazon Fire TV in the US will enjoy Amazon new “free” section on Fire TV enabling customers to find free movies, TV shows, news and several other content, across its apps — including IMDb TV and Twitch — including TUBI, Pluto TV, Crackle, The CW and others.
What you get with this new feature is a completely seamless experience, different from Roku Channel. Amazon is trying to beat its rival by starting to offer a range of ‘Featured Apps” and its own app IMDb TV.
It is interesting to note that there will be a specific subject, horizontal rows of carefully chosen and thoughtfully organized content. There will also be a personalized recommendations of free movies and TV shows across categories like new, trending and popular, plus a row dedicated to Amazon’s News app on Fire TV.
Amazon says most of the content on the Free tab will be sourced from other providers, not from Amazon itself.
We hope India too gets this service soon.
According to Amazon users have access to more than 20,000 free movies and TV episodes via apps like IMDb TV, Pluto TV, TUBI and others.
