Zee5 Kehne Ko Humsafar Hain Season 3 Review; You can lust over it
This seems to be a winner for ALT Balaji and ZEE5, after they managed to churn out 2 successful seasons of web series Kehne Ko Humsafar Hain, – the third edition is quite gripping and keeps you hooked to the TV. The performance of the stars Ronit Roy, Gurdip Punjj and Mona Singh in the central roles, are praiseworthy. You might be happy to see a narrative acknowledging hardships of life , relationships and choices one makes. Live your life as you desire and not to please others.
The Third season takes off from where the Kehne Ko Humsafar Haind second season had left the viewers, to ponder whether Ananya Sharma (Mona Singh) will pardon her husband Rohit Mehra (Ronit Roy) for rekindling his affair with his ex-wife Poonam (Gurdeep Kohli) or not? The third season of Kehne Ko Humsafar Hain is bundled with right masala to ensure that the web series doesn’t loose its steam, and does ensure audience wanting more — It is a saga of love, hatred, and anxiety. There is also a lust element.
The Story: The story of season 3 unfolds in Qatar. The opening episode of Kehne Ko Humsafer Hain is about the current stories of the three pivotal characters after 4 years. Ananya is now settled in Doha with her son Kabir. Rohit, on the other hand, seems to be going through an emotional crisis after Ananya left him. He is attracted more towards lust than seeking love and goes into the lane of drinking recklessly. In the meanwhile Poonam found love and is happily married to Abhimanyu (Suyash Nayyar), who is ten years younger than her.
There are good twists and turns in this season. Ananya who has left her past behind , does her best to erase Rohit from her life, but destiny has something else written for her. Despite her efforts, she finds herself back to the town where she meets everyone excepting Rohit. She even lends valuable support system to Rohit’s daughters, Bani (Pooja Banerjee) and Nikki (Palak).
But this doesn’t end there for Ananya as she and Rohit are destined to have a face-off, and the rest of the season revolves around how they untangle their disagreements and work around what they yearn from each other. The biggest differentiation of this season is it is packed with emotions of the two women and an extramarital affair.
But, this season is concentrated on Ananya — her pre-teens struggle and her relationship with Rohit, the man who deceives her trust. While we travel through the episodes, you are also taken into the road to Rohit’s dramatic transformation and Poonam’s insecurities because her marriage with a man who is younger to her.
While it is a good, enjoyable watch the season does have some cliche attached to it, the pace of the story drags at times, and does drift away from the core, scenes like the one night stand of Rohit and his struggle to overcome mid-life crisis is a bit overdone. But, unlike the earlier season, Harry Somani’s (Apurva Agnihotri) has a greater role in supporting the narrative. We must at the end state that it’s an emotional story that reaches an unpredictable climax and leaves you a thought what next…. leading to season 4.
