The first look/teaser for Black Panther 2 dropped at the San Diego Comic Con on Saturday. The film will mark the return of the Black Panther after the death of Chadwick Boseman. He died in 2020 from colon cancer, leaving fans in a limbo.
A massive overhaul of the script for a post-Chadwick Boseman film takes fans back to Wakanda as the empire faces new fears. Queen Mother Ramonda, played by Angela Bassett, takes over the United Nations, pleading the case for her country, as she calls herself ‘Queen of the most powerful nation in the world’. “And my entire family is gone,” she tells men in suits, “and my entire life has been taken from me”.
However, we did spot Letitia Wright’s Shuri more than a few times. There are underwater scenes of a child being born and men hitching rides across the ocean on massive whales. Lupita Nyongo’s Nakia is also seen in a few bits. Martin Freeman is back in his favourite Wakanda in Black Panther 2

Black Panther 2 is due to arrive in theaters on November 11 and serve as the conclusion to Phase 4. Ryan paid tribute to Chadwick Boseman at the comic con. “The impact that he made on this industry will be felt forever,” he said.
In Marvel Studios’ “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett), Shuri (Letitia Wright), M’Baku (Winston Duke), Okoye (Danai Gurira) and the Dora Milaje (including Florence Kasumba), fight to protect their nation from intervening world powers in the wake of King T’Challa’s death. As the Wakandans strive to embrace their next chapter, the heroes must band together with the help of War Dog Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) and Everett Ross (Martin Freeman) and forge a new path for the kingdom of Wakanda. Introducing Tenoch Huerta as Namor, king of a hidden undersea nation, the film also stars Dominique Thorne, Michaela Coel, Mabel Cadena and Alex Livanalli.
