Sita Ramam Review: 4.5/5: Dulquer and Mrunal’s, Sita Ramam live up to the hype. It is a beautiful tale that will be enjoyed across generations. Well scripted, directed and engrossing storytelling, the suspense factor of the film is well held till the climax by Director Hanu Raghavapudi.
The much-awaited Sita Ramam has released all over the world today, in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam. Dulquer has a fabulous screen presence and he makes sure that he will kill everyone with his looks, on the other side Mrunal beautiful and well suited for a story from 1965.
The three things that stand out in the movie is the stellar performances of the actors Dulquer Salmaan and Mrunal Thakur as Sita and Lt. Ram, a love story that touches your heart, Rashmika has chipped in well with her rebellious role as Afreen.

Hanu Raghavapudi, has woven the first half and the second half with brilliant introduction of his characters, establishing them well, and then the visual and the song are spectacular. Finally, the dialogues, and the content is refreshingly different, which brings depth and timelessness to the story. The music is one of the outstanding highlight of the film.
Hanu had promised during his promotion that the movie will be paced beautifully, and will keep the audience engrossed through out the film, and he did live up to his promise. From start to the finale it is quite compelling.’
The characterization of Rashmika introduced as a rebellious leader of Pakistan in London, with a mission to hunt Sita and Ram in India, taking the help of Balaji (Tharun Bhascker) is quite interesting.
While Dulquer and Mrunal the lead cast intro is quite beautiful with lovely musicals that brings out their brilliance and chemistry on screen very well. In fact, Dulquer will find his admiration in Telugu state going far and wide with his performance. The idea of ‘letters love’ is quite unique in Sita Ramam, but the pace gradually slows down when the story shifts to Hyderabad in the flashback.
The comedy tracks of Sunil and Vennela Kishore is not on a high. The pace of the film gets affected by few extended army scenes and the comedy. We feel the director while thinking to add more entertainment quotient, compromised the grip factor to some extent. The interval twist is audience baiting, and leaves the audience with curiosity and coming back to their seat soon after the break.
With a promising first half, your anticipation goes higher for what unfolds in the second half. The director accelerates the narrative with the ‘Radhika sister’ track. The sequence takes the audience by surprise, and from there, the movie gathers momentum. The sequence of dramatic events, that you are treated with after the secret mission is engrossing as well as emotional.

The director’s hard work and grip on his writing is quite admirable. The finale is smooth and leaves you with a heart-warming feeling. Sita Ramam is a feel-good love story with a good first half and a stellar second half.
