Ponniyin Selvan, a five-part novel by author Kalki Krishnamurthy, is a film by director Mani Ratnam. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Chiyaan Vikram, Karthi, Trisha, and Jayam Ravi all play prominent parts in the movie. The technical team includes the director of photography Ravi Varman, the editor Sreekar Prasad, the choreographer Brinda, and the composer AR Rahman.
