Heart of Stone which stars the multi-talented Alia Bhatt is set to redefine woman action films. Alia makes her Hollywood debut in the highly anticipated spy action thriller, set to be released on Netflix on August 11, 2023. The film, directed by Tom Harper, stars Bhatt alongside Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan.
In a recent interview, Kira Goldberg and Ori Marmur, who run Netflix’s original studio film group, discussed the upcoming film and what audiences can expect.
According to Marmur, “Heart of Stone” is similar to popular action franchises such as “Mission: Impossible” and “Jason Bourne,” but with a twist – the film centers around two strong women, Bhatt and Gadot, rather than the typical male lead.

Marmur stated, “One of the things that got us really excited was the idea of doing a film in a genre that’s often dominated by men. It’s ‘Mission: Impossible.’ It’s ‘Bourne.’ Those movies always have men at the center of them. This has two strong women in Gal Gadot and Alia Bhatt who are in the middle of things.”
The footage shared by Netflix gives a glimpse into the film, with Gadot seen running from a potential threat and Bhatt in a bar raising a glass to someone. The film also stars Sophie Okonedo, Matthias Schweighofer, Jing Lusi, and Paul Ready.

In addition to “Heart of Stone,” Alia Bhatt will also be seen in Karan Johar’s upcoming film “Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani” set to hit theaters on April 28, 2023. The film stars Ranveer Singh, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi.
