Miley Cyrus has once again proved her versatility and talent as a pop star with her latest album Endless Summer Vacation, which has been breaking records and winning hearts since its release on Friday. The album, which is Cyrus’ eighth studio album, features 12 songs that showcase her diverse musical influences and personal growth.
The first single from the album, “Flowers”, was released in January and became an instant hit for its empowering message of self love after a breakup. The song was reportedly inspired by Cyrus’ divorce from actor Liam Hemsworth, as well as her subsequent relationships with Kaitlynn Carter and Cody Simpson. The song broke the record for the most streamed song in its first week on Spotify, with over 96 million streams.
Miley Cyrus Endless Summer Vacation is the new music frenzy worldover
The album follows a day-to-night concept, starting with upbeat songs that reflect Miley Cyrus’ confidence and independence, such as “Rose Colored Lenses” and “River”. The album also features two collaborations: one with Americana singer Brandi Carlile on “Thousand Miles”, a tribute to Cyrus’ sister Noah Cyrus; and another with pop star Sia on “Muddy Feet”, a catchy dance track.
As the night falls, the album gets more sensual and edgy, with songs like “Violet Chemistry” and “Island”. The album ends with an acoustic version of “Flowers”, which gives a more vulnerable and emotional perspective on the breakup theme.
Miley Cyrus celebrated the release of her album with a party in Los Angeles, where she was joined by several celebrities and friends, including Adele, Shawn Mendes, Sabrina Carpenter and Mike Will Made It. She also released her famous “Backyard Sessions” for Endless Summer Vacation on Disney+, where she performed some of the songs from the album and explained their meanings.
Fans have been raving about the album on social media, praising Cyrus for her honesty and maturity as an artist. Cyrus has had several musical phases throughout her career, from her pop-country roots as Hannah Montana to her hip-hop influenced Bangerz era to her rock-inspired Plastic Hearts. With Endless Summer Vacation, she has delivered a polished and cohesive album that showcases her range and evolution.
