The film, which is the third installment in the successful Singham franchise, brings together a powerhouse cast and a promise of high-octane action.

Nine years after the release of “Singham Returns,” Bollywood stalwart Ajay Devgn reunites with the maestro of action-packed blockbusters, Rohit Shetty, to bring back the beloved cop character. The movie’s shoot officially commenced on Saturday in the presence of the film’s director, leading man Ajay Devgn, and Ranveer Singh, who essays the role of Simmba in Rohit Shetty’s cop universe.
Ajay Devgn took to Instagram to share glimpses of the “Singham Again” mahurat ceremony. The first picture featured Ajay and Ranveer joining hands as Rohit Shetty performed a customary coconut-breaking ritual. Ajay sported a dark blue shirt, blue denims, and a brown belt, while Ranveer looked dapper in a light grey shirt, dark grey trousers, and a black belt. Rohit Shetty donned a white T-shirt, layered with a dark blue shirt and torn denim. The trio was seen standing together with red tilaks adorning their foreheads in the second picture, reflecting the solemnity of the occasion.
Ajay Devgn expressed his excitement in the caption, stating, “12 years ago, we gave Indian Cinema its biggest cinematic Cop Universe. With all the love we have received over the years, the force got stronger and the Singham family got bigger. Today we come together to take our franchise ahead with Singham Again!”
Rohit Shetty echoed Devgn’s sentiments about “Singham Again” in his Instagram post, saying, “Singham, Singham returns, Simmba, Sooryavanshi… 12 Years ago, when we made Singham, we never thought that it would turn into a Cop Universe! Ranveer Singh, who plays Simmba in the franchise, shared an additional picture of himself performing the aarti in front of the camera and said, “All set to reprise one of my most loved characters from the Rohit Shetty Cop Universe – SIMMBA (cop emoji) in #SinghamAgain! We seek your love and blessings for our new journey (black heart emoji) (namaste emoji)”
Notably, Akshay Kumar, who plays Sooryavanshi in Rohit Shetty’s cop universe, was absent from the mahurat ceremony pictures. He clarified his absence with a heartfelt message, “Not in the country at the moment, missing from the frame in person but totally there in spirit. Can’t wait to join you guys on the sets of #SinghamAgain! Sending my best wishes. Jai Mahakaal (namaste emoji)”
