Amid fervent anticipation, the big reveal for Rajinikanth’s upcoming movie with director TJ Gnanavel has finally arrived. Titled ‘Vettaiyan,’ the film’s name was disclosed by Lyca Productions in a teaser launched on Tuesday, coinciding with the superstar’s 73rd birthday.

The teaser, opening with Rajinikanth engrossed in a book on Subash Chandra Bose, took an unexpected turn as music maestro Anirudh Ravichander set the tone with a fresh soundtrack, enhancing the iconic ‘Super Star Rajini’ introduction card. The teaser showcases the star in action, clad in a magnetic clip-on sunglass, brandishing a gun, and delivering the impactful line, “When the hunt is on, the prey must fall.”

Formerly known as Thalaivar 170, ‘Vettaiyan’ boasts an impressive ensemble cast featuring Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, and Dushara Vijayan. GM Sundar, Rohini, Rao Ramesh, Ramesh Thilak, and Rakshan add depth to the lineup.

The movie showcases cinematography by SR Kathir and editing by Philomin Raj, all under the production banner of Subaskaran’s Lyca Productions.

Amidst this buzz, Rajinikanth’s cameo in ‘Lal Salaam,’ directed by his daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth, is also much anticipated. Furthermore, for his 171st venture, the veteran actor is gearing up to collaborate with director Lokesh Kanagaraj, known for his work in the movie ‘Leo.’
