Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor cornered the top acting honors at the 69th edition of the Filmfare Awards 2024 over the weekend. In the award ceremony this year, which was held in Gujarat, Alia Bhatt took home the Best Actress award for her role in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, while her husband Ranbir Kapoor won the Best Actor award for his stellar performance in Animal.
Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal stole the honours with a total of six victories, while Vidhu Vino Chopra’s 12th Fail won some of the highest awards for the evening, including Best Film and Best Director.
Vikrant Massey won the Best Actor award for 12th Fail in the Filmfare Awards 2024 critics category. While the best actress critics award was given to Rani Mukherji and Shefali Shah for Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway and Three Of Us, respectively,.
Vicky Kaushal, who was also nominated for Best Actor (Critics) for his role in Sam Bahadur, won the Best Supporting Actor award for his impressive performance in Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki at the Filmfare Awards 2024 night.
Filmmaker David Dhawan was given the Lifetime Achievement Award. The Best Debut (Male) award was won by Faraaz actor Aditya Rawal while Farrey actress Alizeh Agnihotri won the Best Debut (Female) award.
