Prasanth Varma has expressed excitement and his eagerness to make his next Jai Hanuman a star-studded movie which will onboard the biggest stars of India. Director Prasanth Varma’s recent offering HanuMan starring Teja Sajja continue to rule the box office and audience appreciation. As on January 29, the movie collected an impressive Rs 1.75 crore, making the total earnings in India to 174 crore.
HanuMan crossed Rs 100 crore in the first week of its release, thanks to positive wordof-mouth. According to box office tracking website sacnilk, the movie has earned Rs 256 crore worldwide.
Earlier this month, the director revealed the sequel and has embarked on the pre-production of the film. In a recent interview, the director revealed his ambitions for Jai Hanuman and mentioned that he wants to cast Mahesh Babu as Lord Ram and Chiranjeevi as Lord Hanuman. He is looking forward to meet with Padma Vibhushan awardee Chiranjeevi and narrate the role and the story to him.

Prasanth Varma said, “I personally want Mahesh Babu to play the role of Sri Ram. Just like others, we have also done some edits in our office to see Mahesh Babu as Sri Ram. But let’s see how it works out.” The director also mentioned how he envisioned Chiranjeevi as Hanuman in the movie.
Sharing a sneak peak into the story of Jai Hanuman Prashant Varma stated , “Jai Hanuman is about a promise that Hanumanji had given to Prabhu Shri Ram. Prabhu Shri Ram had asked Hanumanji for a promise which he waits for thousands of years to fulfill. So, now that time has come to fulfill that promise.” The film will explore Hanumanji emerging from years of meditation to fulfill the promise. “Jai Hanuman follows Hanumanji coming out of his years of meditation to fulfil that promise. There is going to be a big war that Hanumanji is going to fight.“ Varma teased, “We are creating an entirely new world for this film,” hinting at the grandeur and innovation audiences can expect.
The director further revealed that his plan is to make 12 superhero movies under Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU).
