Nepali singer Menuka Poudel has captured the hearts of the audience and judges on the 14th season of Indian Idol with her exceptional talent and soulful voice, has lost her place in the top 8 on 5th February, 2024. She was pulled down by the judges for her inability to memorize her songs and taking her stardom for granted.
However, the show organisers on Monday episode which had Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon as the star guest cited low audience poll for her as the reason to Menuka Poudel elimination which is surprising as she was the most impressive of all. But, when the judges criticised her for her not able to rote her songs, it seemed evident they gunned for her elimination.
The extremely talented 25-year-old singer, who gained recognition after participating in Nepal Idol and Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, has continued to impress with her performances on the popular reality show. Her rendition of “O Palan Haare” and “Mohe Rang Do Lal” left the judges, including Shreya Ghoshal, Vishal Dadlani, and Kumar Sanu, deeply moved, with Shreya Ghoshal being brought to tears by the emotional performance.
