Bajrangi Bhaijan 2 is in the offing. Salman Khan made a spontaneous statement last night at the RRR event in Mumbai, revealing that the sequel to his 2015 smash Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2 is in the works. According to a reports, Salman revealed at the occasion that the film’s script would be written by SS Rajamouli’s father, KV Vijayendra Prasad. Kabir Khan, who helmed the first film, has recently stated that the film’s concept has not yet been ‘developed.’
As Salman fans expressed their delight on social media, Bajrangi Bhaijaan director Kabir Khan remarked that while Salman may have made the announcement, there is still a lot of work to be done on the sequel.

In an interaction, Kabir said, “That announcement is something that Salman did. Neither the script is written, nor has the idea been formed really. There is literally nothing right now we can talk about.”
On Sunday night, Salman had appeared as a guest for the Mumbai event of SS Rajamouli’s upcoming multi-starrer RRR. There, in an interaction with Karan Johar – who was hosting the event – Salman said, “I have a strong relationship with Rajamouli and his father, as he wrote Bajrangi Bhaijaan and soon we will be working together again for Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2.”
Rajamouli’s father, KV Vijayendra Prasad, is a well-known screenwriter who, among other things, wrote Bajrangi Bhaijaan. “Yes, but now the focus should be on RRR,” Salman said when Karan asked if he was confirming that a sequel to Bajrangi Bhaijaan is in the works.
