Nagarjuna Akkineni refuted the news that broke today about Samantha and Naga Chaitanya divorce and said that it is completely false. In tweet Nagarjuna said The news in social media and electronic media quoting my statement about Samantha & Nagachaitanya is completely false and absolute nonsense!! I request media friends to please refrain from posting rumours as news.
Chaitanya and Samantha announced parted ways after four years of marriage. Months after their announcement, this information came to limelight from Nagarjuna.
Nagarjuna was referring to the news doing rounds on social media and news medium that Samantha decided to file for divorce first. The news also quoted that problems arose between them after New Year 2021.
In October 2021, Samantha and Naga Chaitanya announced that they were separated. In their statement, the couple refrained from revealing any details regarding their decision to part ways.
Many news medium quoted Nagarjuna, in an interview with Indiaglitz, wherein he revealed that Samantha applied for divorce first. He said, “Naga Chaitanya accepted her decision but he was more worried about me, what I would think and what would happen to the family’s reputation.”

On the day the couple announced their separation, Nagarjuna reacted on social media. He wrote, “With a heavy heart, let me say this! whatever happened between Sam and Chay is very unfortunate.
What happens between a wife and husband is very personal. Sam and Chay are dear to me. My family will always cherish the moments spent with sam and she will always be dear to us! May God bless them both with strength (sic).”
