I genuinely feel that anybody who is a mother figure in your life has the capability and the power to influence you and to change you and make you the person you are!”

Young Alaya F, who made her debut in Bollywood with Saif Ali Khan in Jawaani Janeman, is one of the most loved celebrities in the industry. Speaking about the person who changed her life, she admits, “Of course, my mother (Pooja Bedi), because she gave birth to me and she was the woman who raised me. But apart from my mother, the woman who has changed my life is my dance teacher.”

Alia goes on, “When I joined this industry, I wasn’t able to dance at all and three dance teachers gave up on me, saying that we don’t think we can help you. And I sort of thought maybe I can’t be a commercial film actor because I can’t dance. And then I met this wonderful teacher. Her name was Dimple Kotecha and she was my last hope. She transformed me not only as a dancer but as a human”.

Sunny Leone is an example of how to fight the world to create a safe haven for yourself and win people’s hearts with the talent you possess. “I guess it has to be my mother. I remember my mom telling me when I was growing up that you have to learn to be independent, you don’t have a choice! And I think her perspective also came from the thought that you have to look after yourself. And she taught me that at a very young age”, she was quoted.
