For the Sita Ramam film cast and crew it was a mesmerising experience to shoot in the picturesque landscape of Kashmir that evoked the right emotions for every shot. Dulquer Salmaan along with the team shot in Thajwass Glacier, Dal Lake, Jalali House, Rockstar house and in many other beautiful locales. The team spent close to a month and wrapped their shoot as per schedule.
For Dulquer Salmaan, it was first time ever in Kashmir and one-of-a-kind experience, he says, “It’s like stepping into a photograph or a painting or a film. It’s hard to take in the depth and beauty of Kashmir with your eyes and believe you are witnessing it in person. It’s that awe inspiring. In a heartbeat. I would love to visit Gulmarg and Pahalgam.”
Dulquer Salmaan Says Kashmir is Awe Inspiring
The whole unit were excited to see this amazing place, speaking about the experience shooting at a high-altitude, Director Hanu Raghavapudi,said “Kashmir is definitely the Paradise on Earth and have been the best hosts. The local people were friendly, gentle, helping and welcoming. We shot during the beginning of the 2nd phase lockdown with covid restrictions, yet the police and government allowed us to complete the shoot as per the plan with covid protocols in place. We finished our shoot schedule as per our exact plan. We even got the chance to indulge in some local food and experience a new culture.”
According to senior officials from Kashmir, they are witnessing a tremendous response and surge from the film production houses across India to shoot films in Kashmir. Recently the officials have given 130 and more film shoot permissions to various producers and production banners to carry out their filmmaking.
A special officer on duty gave his wholehearted support during Sita Ramam film shooting, and thanked the filmmakers for shooting their film in Kashmir, he said movies like this will showcase the beauty and the grandeur of Kashmir to the Global Audience.

Sita Ramam, is a beautiful love story set in the backdrop of a war in1965. Dulquer Salmaan as Lieutenant Ram, an orphan, serving the nation in snow clad mesmerizing terrains and gleaming lakes of Kashmir, pairing Dulquer is Mrunal Thakur as Sita Mahalakshmi, the lead lady of the film, along with Rashmika Mandanna in an impressive role.
The film is presented by the 50-year-old Vyjayanthi Movies and produced by Ashwini Dutt for Swapna Cinema. Sumanth Akkineni, Gautam Menon, and Prakash Raj in interesting supporting roles. Choreographed by Brinda, the camerawork in the movie is by PS Vinod and Vishal Chandrasekhar is rendering the music.
