Etched in History, Road Named After Sushant Singh Rajput : The HOMETOWN PURNEA of Sushant Singh Rajput, has named a road after his name.

He has been one star whose name was everyone lips, on social media, on TV, virally and in the industry, as the film fraternity was shocked by his untimely action committing suicide. Sympathies, and praises flows continuously and continues even today.

In his home town, the celebration went to higher pitch as Sushant Singh Rajput’s  fans of were in a state of shock, mourning, protesting and paying tribute to the late actor in more than one way. The big tribute the star got when his name was etched, and a road in his hometown Purnea in Bihar was named after Sushant. Check out the video here:

Mayor Savita Devi , reportedly told people that Sushant was a great artist, and the renaming of the road and the roundabout is a way of paying a tribute to him. According to her, the road that goes from Madhubani to Mata Chowk will now be called Sushant Singh Rajput road and a popular car company roundabout has also been rechristened to Sushant Singh Rajput Chowk.

The mayor has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi demanding a CBI enquiry in Sushant Singh Rajput’s case. Apart from Mayor Savita Devi, Shekhar Suman also met with Bihar’s CM urging an thorough enquiry on the case. His fans also met the Government for a detailed top level investigation in his suicide case.

Earlier an official statement was released by his family after his death where they mentioned that they will be turning his childhood home into a memorial and a foundation will be set up as a tribute to him where young talents will be supported.

Recently, his last film Dil Bechara, trailer was released which got thumping response for his body of work and the title song which was composed by AR Rahman. The movie will premiere on 24th July in DisneyPlus Hotstar.

The Director of Dil Bechara Chhabra Mukesh Chhabra told earlier that he never imagined he would release the film without Rajput.

“Sushant was not just the hero of my debut film as a director, but he was a dear friend who stood by me through thick and thin. We had been close right from Kai Po Cheto Dil Bechara. He had promised me that he would be in my first film. So many plans were made together, so many dreams were dreamt together but never once did I ever imagine that I would be left alone to release this film. He always showered immense love on me while I was making it and his love will guide us as we release it,” he said.

Dil Bechara is the official remake of 2014 Hollywood romantic drama The Fault in our Stars, which was based on John Green’s popular novel of the same name. The Hindi adaptation of the movie was done by Shashank Khaitan and Suprotim Sengupta.
