Wednesday, June 3, 2026: the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has announced the immediate withdrawal of its Non-Cooperation Directive (NCD) against Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh.
The decision comes after a series of deliberations and a formal intervention by the Indian Motion Picture Producers’ Association (IMPPA), led by its President, Mr. Abhay Sinha.
According to an official press release issued by FWICE, the apex body decided to move toward an amicable resolution in the larger interest of maintaining discipline, solidarity, and mutual respect within the entertainment fraternity. The federation noted that the move followed constructive discussions where it was collectively agreed that disputes are best resolved through continuous dialogue rather than prolonged discord.

FWICE expressed its gratitude to IMPPA for its timely intervention, balanced approach, and guidance in addressing the core issues. IMPPA has reportedly assured the federation that the underlying concerns involved in the matter will be addressed seriously and constructively with all parties to ensure a fair and mutually beneficial outcome.
The official statement, signed by FWICE Chief Advisor Ashoke Pandit, President B N Tiwari, Hon. General Secretary Ashok Dubey, and Treasurer Gangeshwarlal Shrivastav, emphasized that this step was taken in good faith to strengthen cooperation and support across all stakeholders in the Indian film industry.
