Mayo Japan, a popular YouTuber has surprised many with her linguistic skill including Jr NTR and she demonstrated that many a times. In Mumbai recently for a friends wedding, she revealed that he had stunned NTR with her Hindi proficiency while he came with RRR Team to Japan for promotion. The youtuber widely known for her videos where she speaks in pure Hindi have a major degree in Hindi.
One of the most cherished moments in she recalls in her journey was interviewing the entire team of the 2022 film RRR in Japan. Recalling the experience with joy, Mayo Japan shares, “SS Rajamouli sir, Ram Charan sir, and Jr NTR sir were there to promote the film, and I got the opportunity to interview them. Speaking in English because they communicate in Telugu, I unexpectedly uttered a few words in Hindi at one point. Jr NTR sir, whose Hindi proficiency surprised him, made for a delightful moment, captured on camera.”

Her connection with India is truly extraordinary. Venturing into a foreign land with a distinct culture and language, Mayo Japan made a resolute decision to learn Hindi in India, spurred on by her father’s encouragement.
Presently, Mayo Japan has carved a niche for herself as a social media influencer, boasting a YouTube channel with a substantial three million subscribers. Her Instagram reels also garner millions of views. During her recent visit to Mumbai to accompany a friend, she expressed, “90 percent of my followers are from India. My content is in Hindi, resonating with both the Indian community in Japan and those in India. I am delighted that people appreciate my content.”
Choosing her career path after completing school in Japan, she heeded her father’s advice, influenced by his earlier travels to Kolkata and Nepal. “My dad passed away during that period, and it was his dying wish that I pursue Hindi as my major. Although my mom was initially apprehensive about my decision, wondering about the future after studying Hindi, I didn’t have a clear answer either. I managed to convince her for six months, arguing that if I don’t go to India, how will I learn the language? Eventually, she visited me while I was studying at Kendriya Hindi Sansthan, a government-owned school for foreigners, and I majored in Hindi,” she recounts.
Reflecting on the moment when she discovered her true calling as a YouTuber, she says, “I never anticipated starting vlogging. But once I launched my YouTube channel, I went to Indiatown in Japan and celebrated Holi. I uploaded the video, and it went viral, gaining 50,000 followers in a single day,” she reminisces with a laugh.
