Crew Movie Story: In the fast-paced world of aviation, three air hostesses—Geeta (Tabu), Jasmine (Kareena Kapoor Khan), and Divya (Kriti Sanon)—find themselves caught in a financial tailspin. Their employer, Kohinoor Airlines, is drowning in debt, and their salaries remain unpaid.
Fueled by desperation, the trio decides to take matters into their own hands. Their mission? To outwit the system, get rich, and serve up some poetic justice. But when diligent airport inspector Mala (Trupti Khamkar) enters the scene, turbulence awaits.
Crew Movie Review
Crew takes off with gusto, introducing us to its delightful heroines. Geeta, the seasoned worrywart, Jasmine, the rule-bending opportunist, and Divya, the unassuming powerhouse, form an unlikely sisterhood. As the airline’s financial woes escalate, their resolve hardens. Necessity breeds invention, and sometimes, even crime. The women’s audacious plan to turn the tables on their unscrupulous boss, Vijay Walia (Saswata Chatterjee), is both exhilarating and hilarious.
The Crew’s humor stems from the characters’ unapologetic approach to life. Their heist tactics may not be ingenious, but their style and attitude rival that of runway models. The trio’s obliviousness to consequences evokes laughter, even as they navigate ambition, fading vanity, and delusion. The movie doesn’t shy away from portraying the upper middle class’s complex relationship with money, ethics, and dead-end jobs.
Tabu, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Kriti Sanon shine as the leading ladies. Their age-inclusive casting adds authenticity, while Diljit Dosanjh and Kapil Sharma provide entertaining support. Kulbhushan Kharbanda’s special appearance adds flavor to the mix. The film’s climax may stretch credulity, but it’s a minor quibble in this fun-filled ride.
Crew is a sexy, funny, and honest airline heist movie that soars high and lands safely. Strap in for a jet-speed adventure with these fierce air hostesses—you won’t want to miss the ride.
Crew follows Rajesh A Krishnan’s feature debut Lootcase which was an enjoyable comedy.
