After months of accusations , war of words by Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s wife, the word is out … finally Nawazuddin Siddiqui Files Defamation Suit against his wife Aliya. Reports suggests that the actor sent a legal notice to her for ‘Engaging in Fraud’ and ‘Wilful Defamation’
Nawazuddin’s wife Aaliya had reportedly pointed out in recent media interactions and in her series of posts that she is at a loss to pay her children’s school fees as Nawazuddin Siddiqui has stopped paying her the monthly allowance. However, the actor’s lawyer has rejected such claims.
“EMI is still being paid by my client. Other children related expenses too. Divorce notice was replied to but again, she has stated the contrary in order to defame through this well thought slander campaign,” Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s lawyer Adnan Shaikh told media.
It is believed that the actor in his notice has asked his wife not to make defamatory comments against him and also issue a written clarification for whatever she recently said.
Aliya had confronted media reports earlier saying they are false and wrote false reports, she wrote in a tweet: “I am now learning to stand up and speak for myself, be strong, for the sake of my children. I have not done any wrong till date and therefore I am not worried. However I do not appreciate anyone harming my reputation or character to save someone else. Money can’t buy truth.” Aaliya and Nawazuddin are parents to daughter Shora and son Yaani.
His wife Aliya had sent Nawazzudin a divorce notice on May 7, 2020.
