November 1, 2025: Is Shah Rukh Khan (SRK) really 60, or is he just moonwalking through time? That’s the cheeky question Congress MP and resident wordsmith Shashi Tharoor posed on X (formerly Twitter) as he wished the King of Bollywood a suspiciously youthful happy birthday.

While social media was ablaze with “Happy Birthday SRK” posts, Tharoor’s tribute stood out like a sequin in a sea of plain kurtas. In true Tharoorian style, he didn’t just send wishes—he launched a full-blown “fact-checking investigation” into SRK’s age, and the results? Let’s just say they’re more fiction than fact.

The Curious Case of Shah Rukh Khan at 60

Tharoor’s tweet read like a Bollywood script meets Sherlock Holmes fan fiction. He claimed a crack team of “independent fact-checkers and forensic detectives” had examined the “60” claim and found no visual evidence to support it.

“No grey hair, no slowing down, and an overall vibe of someone decades younger,” he noted, adding that SRK might actually be starring in a real-life remake of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. “He’s ageing in reverse,” Tharoor quipped.

Tharoor didn’t stop there. He presented his “findings” with comic precision:

Energy levels: Higher than they were 20 years ago.

Hairstyle: Progressively more youthful.

Wrinkles: “None that a decent lighting crew can’t explain away.”

He even predicted that by SRK’s 70th birthday, the superstar might be auditioning for teenage roles. “I don’t expect to be around when he reverts to a child actor,” Tharoor joked, noting he’d be 79 by then.

Tharoor wrapped up his birthday banter by congratulating Shah Rukh Khan on his “unbelievable milestone” and urging him to “keep defying physics and biology.” It’s not every day a politician turns into a stand-up comic, but when he does, it’s usually in 280 characters or less.

Just days before, Tharoor had also praised Aryan Khan’s debut web series The Ba****ds of Bollywood, calling it “absolute OTT gold.” Battling a cold and skipping engagements, Tharoor said the show was one of the best things he’d treated himself to—high praise from someone known for his literary finesse.
