November 26, 2025: Actor-comedian Kapil Sharma has addressed the three separate shooting incidents at his Canadian café, Kap’s Cafe, in Surrey, British Columbia, saying he isn’t intimidated by the attacks and highlighting how the business has bounced back stronger each time.

The café, which opened in July, was first targeted just days after its launch, followed by two more firing incidents on August 7 and October 16. Fortunately, no one was injured, and no group has claimed responsibility for the attacks.

Speaking at the trailer launch of his upcoming film Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2, Kapil Sharma said, “What I feel is that the rules there and the police perhaps don’t have the power to control such incidents. But when our case happened, it went to the federal government, and there was a discussion in the Canadian parliament. In fact, after every firing incident, we got a bigger opening at the café. So it is all okay if God is with me.”

Kapil Sharma also shared that industry colleagues reached out to him following each attack, which reinforced his confidence in the preventive measures being taken. “I got calls from a lot of people from there who told me that there were a lot of things happening, but after the firing at my café, it became news, and now steps are being taken to improve the law and order situation there,” he added.

Kapil Sharma is making a comeback as a lead actor with Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2, directed by Anukalp Goswami and produced by Ratan Jain, Ganesh Jain, and Abbas-Mustan under Venus Worldwide Entertainment. The film, starring Manjot Singh, Hira Warina, Tridha Choudhary, Parul Gulati, and Ayesha Khan, is slated to release on 12 December.
