Wednesday, May 6, 2026: While courtroom dramas often focus on the high-stakes arguments of lawyers under mahogany ceilings, a new cinematic force is shifting the lens toward the silent observers of the law. Dropping on Prime Video this May 22, the upcoming legal thriller System promises to peel back the layers of judicial power through an unexpected alliance.
The narrative centers on an unlikely bridge between two ends of the social spectrum. Sonakshi Sinha portrays Neha Rajvansh, a public prosecutor born into privilege, while Jyotika steps into the shoes of Sarika Rawat, a stenographer whose humble roots define her worldview.
In a world where the stenographer’s transcript is often overlooked, System elevates the woman behind the typewriter to a key player in the pursuit of truth. Together, the duo unearths buried injustices that force a brutal ultimatum: maintain the status quo of power or burn it down for the sake of justice.
Directed by the acclaimed Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, the film is a collaborative effort between Baweja Studios and Prime Video. Producer Harman Baweja describes the project as “genre-bending,” emphasizing that the core of the story lies in the “contrasting worlds” of its two female leads.
Nikhil Madhok, Head of Originals at Prime Video India, noted that the film is designed to keep audiences on edge, exploring the murky waters where ethics and ambition clash.

Adding gravity to the legal battle is a supporting cast led by veteran Ashutosh Gowariker, alongside:

As the countdown to May 22 begins, System looks to be more than just a legal procedural, it is a study of how the most powerful voices in the room are sometimes silenced by the truths captured in the margins.
